Weatherby Mark V warranty

That's no surprise from Weatherby. I had my fill with them and won't own another Weatherby again, long story and rude manners from those so called people.
 
I sent them a rifle that was 20+ years old because it wouldn't shoot. Been in to local authorized warranty centers numerous times. Got tired of that drill. They credited me current replacement value and sent me shopping in their catalog for anything I wanted. Needless to say, more than impressed. Nothing ever said about handloads as the accuracy guarantee is based on the guns ability to shoot premium factory ammo and it wouldn't.
 
I've been reloading my Mark 5 Deluxe 300 Weatherby for 40 years with no problem. Bought it new in 1969 German made for 319.00. Yes ,it was a deal but that was then. The problem is not so much with their product but their service. Times have changed from when Weatherby was in Southgate calif and so was their attitude regarding customer service. At that time they ruled but nowadays there are many other manufacturers with the ability to make excellent firearms. My experience with Weatherby leads me too the following conclusion, should you have a problem of any sort , take your firearm to a reputable gunsmith for service.
