My Bone Head move of the day

Thought I would share my mistake of the week. In case anyone else had dueling rock chucker's set up and using the lock rings on their dies. I apparently forgot that when I set the seating die up for OAL and locked the ring down that it was in the press on the right. Yesterday when I treaded it into the press on the left and seated the first bullet I got a new wiz bang cartridge that headspaces off the front disk! Reminds me of Aircraft photo's breaking the speed of sound. The newer (not as good) RC II is about 1.5 turns off on die adjustment from the older style. One more thing to mark down and document.
Looks like the new 6.5 EarsplittenLoudenBoomer
that AeroLufte is developed back in the 40's.
😂

This is from a few years back… 358 whoops!

I had a bone head moment last night. I try to be clear headed anytime I am reloading. Somehow I mistakenly pulled the Redding 308win bullet seater out instead of the 280ai. The 40 degree shoulder was quickly destroyed. I guess there is a first time for everything.

This situation only cost me one piece of brass, but reinforced the need to double check every step in the process.

Yeah whenever I get the time to load I try and collect my thoughts and get a handle on where I'm at on what cartridge/rifle (or pistol) combo and what cycle it's brass is in before I even start. I have a lot to keep track of and the times I've just went out to the garage and started banging away I always seem to make mistakes and or ruin stuff. As expensive as it is it can make you sick and smart really quick.
