That bullet Hammers Steve…..Cool part about it was she literally handloaded everything involved in that hunt….including the 3 tap install of the tip insert. She loved the whole process on the bench

First day out yesterday on groundhogs saw about 18 to 20 shot at 10 dropped 9DRT,one miss when a strong wind gust threw the little 20 grain 17 off course. Every one was dropped DRT,no crawl offs,although one slid back in his burrow a foot after being hit. Closest shot was 155 ,furthest 275 see grey pickup in background and look at groundhog shot, all these were in fresh soybean fields , beans about 2 inches up.Some were beyond range and I only was packing the 17 hornet, I filled up front to back a 17P john Deere dump cart,all groundhogs were brought home and staked down by the river to shoot coyotes over, a good start to groundhogging,Mohican river and tributaries also shown big fields. addendums below in reply section. 17 hornet CZ 527 American sporter barrel,suppressed Liberty titanium, sure brings varmint shooting to a new level.The heavy barrel 17 doesn't shoot any better than sporter ,I sold my heavy barrel.

Here is one of the 30 (or more) rock chucks my 10 year old son and I took out this weekend. They were all over the canyon. The Tikka 223 CTR continues to deliver - one of my favorite rifles.

Went to the range today, among other things to check the zero on one of my 22-250s.
A few minutes after confirming zero…. Out pops a couple young dirt grizzlies right next to the 100 yard berm. Is this cheating?
