300 WSM | 124 Hammer Hunter Load Development

This was an interesting load development.
VV N550 maxed out at 67.7gr. Nosler maxed out at 70gr. Ended up using 68.2. Slight pressure signs. Primers flat. But man this thing is accurate and zipping 3280 FPS. Yes! HAMMER TRAIL IS EPIC!

I watched your video, do you have any n560 on hand? Might have a a little more speed in it, I use N560 in the 6.5 prc with the 123 absolute at 3500fps.

I do not. I've got a buddy willing to share his N550 with me that's why I got into the caliber.

WAY COOL ZEN

The most temperature stable reloading powder in its class 555, 560 is not temp stable
I was in a local shop here last week that had an 8 pounder of it.

I have never had issues with N560

Is that slow or fast? I should have mentioned it's a 19" barrel? Once I get the barrel coppered up I'll develop a full load. Got lots of hogs to tend to this week.

I'm not sure with a 19" tube but I ran them in the 3700's out of a 24" tube with H414

I'm running 130gr TTSX @ 3530 with varget in 300wsm it crushes 300lb hogs and deer like lightning.

300 saum and h4350 got me 3500 in 22 inch barrel

Yeah I was at 3100+ in a .308 with a 16.5" barrel with the 124 and RL10x. I think you should be able to make 3500+ easy with a different powder. Keep us updated because I have a 300 WSM and plenty of 124s to spare.

N550 works real well for me in my 300 wsm and 152 hh

What's your charge weight and what brass? I was only able to get to 3370 using 62.8gr in Lapua brass in a 24" barrel.
