I also have and love a Davis 16x14 tent and frame kit but it's very heavy. I just use it for truck camps that we will be in a week or more. There are some lighter options for sure.
Check out the seek outside courthouse or any of their other stuff. And kifaru and argali. If you want lighter weight. Also snowtrekker makes lighter canvas stuff. I've used a 16 man seek outside tipi and I own their redcliff. The redcliff is big enough for two with the stove in my opinion but...
Use a soft violent bullet like the 140 or 147 eldm. Shoot em in the middle of the middle. No drama. That's actually where there lungs are, well they r further back than deer etc. They r easy to kill, and soft all over, except the leg bones maybe.
I hate getting two holes in bears.
Means the...
I got a 88 when I drew a sheep tag. I still have it and love it. The glass is second to none. That said the 77 won't leave you wanting especially if you want to pack it much. I still pack the 88 everywhere straight up mts I shouldn't chasing mule deer. Had too many times I spotted a buck but...
That's easy. Because the CORRECT target bullets are the best KILLING bullets. Not all target bullets. Just the right ones. 215 bergers for instance, might say something about target only on the box.
But if my target is an elk, deer or bear it's dead in seconds because the effective wound channel...
Oh they might. But not sure if they know the tipped match kings from 77 grain .224 to 130 .264 are one of the best killers out there. They WILL MAXIMIZE the cartridge you use them in.
I will say the standard match kings are too inconsistent terminally.
Bullets matter more than headstamps. So whatever case you want that shoots a 140 eldm at over 1800 fps or higher at the range you wish to reach. A Tikka in 6.5 cm is way too easy and way too easy to shoot a pallet of ammo thru. Put a SWFA 6x or 3-9 on it mounted extremely solidly and try...
No it's certainly not. I have carbon barrels and they have their place and I like them. But if I'm looking to build an ultra light rifle I'm NOT getting a carbon barrel. A #2 or #1 with a flare for my cans is wonderful and lighter.
Now educate me Oh Exhalted One!
Part of the appeal of a fat carbon barrel is it's the easy button if you want to thread it for a suppressor. You can always get a lighter build going with a plain steel barrel. A carbon barrel is just a pencil barrel with a bunch of carbon on it and they aren't as stiff as people think. #2...
Do any of the 10 gauges or really, any shotgun, come with high performance recoil pads like pacmeyer or limbsaver etc? Seems like all the cheaper pumps have horrible excuses for a recoil pad? Why is that?
Hey, 22 Creedmoor is my favorite rifle to shoot! You might consider the 300 wsm or 7 PRC. Less hassle to fit in a Tikka for sure. If your still planning on a big un.
