What are the average shots out there?

typical 100-300 yards, potentially longer if in an open burn area.

SnakeRiver - great info, thank you. I am booked for 2025. I'm curious which weeks you hunted with them? Week 1 is the Buggle hunt, with week 4 usually being the snowy hunt, although deep snow and the migration can happen during any week. Thx!

I hunted the 2nd hunt both times, which is Sept 30 - Oct 8. First out of Lower Camp with the big snows, 2nd time I hunted out of the old Wolverine Cr camp further west, was warm and I killed 7x6 (300") on first day on top of Pinion Peak.

This thread has got me interested in the place. I burnt up 7 points two years ago in Wyoming and realize now that I'm going to have to save up for a general tag and may just do something like this and check off the bucket list. Looks like a nice area and the only way for a nonresident to hunt unit 70.

It just sounds like an authentic pack in hunt w good people. They don't advertise much but the don't have to. Many repeat customers. Never heard or read a bad thing about them. I'm super excited just for the experience.

Wife and I have been there twice 2016 and 2019. Great people, food and camps. We have taken 3 nice bulls.

I hunted there lower camp back in 2001 100% kill 4 guys in camp. There guides were great. Top notch outfit for sure. Find a local place to horse back ride before you go, it will make your life a lot easier.

@samson, how was the hunt? I just booked with them for '29. They are currently 6 years out. Maybe sooner with parties that are ahead that don't have enough points or cancel.
