I've got two barreled actions; stamped at the base of the 1st barrel is "6.5x284 Norma (8)
On the second one is "6.5x284 Norma (8.5)

I'm assuming that the (8) and the (8.5) designates the rifling. Can anyone confirm?

Any pictures to share?
Here it is. IMG_0082.jpg

ADDITIONAL INFO!
I removed the stock; in very fine lettering it says, "Cole Harps ME".
I don't know if there was a rifle company in Maine, 50-60 years ago or what. There's a Harpswell Gun shop, but nothing else. Here's a couple Pics.

That's not a military pattern 96 or 98 I don't think. It looks like a sporter model pattern, post war Mauser. Everything is different except the flat bottom receiver.

Looking at the bolt shroud it looks like a Husqvarna/Carl Gustaf M9000. If it is one of those the bolt lugs will be a dovetail shape. Please see photos.
