Reloader 26 in 6.5 creedmoor

i don't shoot bergers, i don't shoot nosler i don't shoot ,barnes and i can't stand hammers if it was the only bullet i could use id give up hunting before i ever ever give hammer my business
i run 143 eld x in my creed and 162 eld x in my 280 ai
my 6.8 western i shoot factory loads and if i find out hornady is using quick loads
in their reloading ill drop them to and go to cast bullets i won't use quick loads i don't trust quick loads and i won't support any manufacturer that does
no it doesn't have to be used correctly its been proven several times the data for quick loads can be manipulated until the user gets the results they want its been done several times
Cool. Keep dropping that knowledge.

Ok but how are you

measure saami pressure?
If your using published data your doing it wrong. What if your chamber is different? Jump? Lots of things.
So it sounds good to say you would stay but I've had a rifle pressure out way before load max in my hornady book. So how do you know where you are at?

Figured I'd drop in and share what my little bergara did tonight with rl-26. I bought the rifle for a light weight carry rifle that was handy.

Very happy with that velocity from a 22in barrel. The barrel only has 50 rounds down the tube. Had a faint ejector mark at 49.0

So your ES is 134 FPS? WoW !! Ouch. Usually R26 will net you about 2700 FPS from a 26" Barrel. For you to get over 2900 FPS from only 22" is incredible.

Thats over 2.5 grains difference in powder. As you can see it hit a flat spot around 48-49 grains. Not sure if you've used rl-26 in a 26in ceeedmoor but in a 26in creed with a 140 rl-26 will get you up around 3000 or a little better depending on the rifle. However I've found rl-26 is finicky in short barrel creeds. I couldn't settle on a load in this rifle using that powder. I may revisit it some time when I get more time. My dad's 22in got the same velocity but he had similar issues that I did. My 26in barrel shot it lights out cruising along at 2945 and I know another friend with a 26in that shoots it very well too.

I have a 6.5 creedmoor with a 26" barrel. Been reading about the high velocities achieved with reloader 26. Claims as high as 3000 fps with 140s.
I'm like to hear more success stories and what your data is for it.
I'm also wondering how temp stable reloader 26 is?
Yeah you have to be very careful on here when getting data for the 6.5 Creedmoor. There is a ton Of people claiming 3000 ish FPS with 140ish grain bullets with R26 from a 26" barrel and even some with 20" barrels. From a 26" tube you will net between 2700 -2750 fps at best. Be careful with some of the date you get in here, Just because I don't know you doesn't mean I don't care about your safety. Look up 260 Terminator. Look at the powders being used for it. H4350 and R26. They are using up to 50.5 grains of powder of R26 and getting 3030 FPS with a 26" barrel. Your not going to get the same results with a 6.5 CM as this 260 Terminator when the bullets are the same diameter and has 8" less WC capacity do to brass length. If so than what is the purpose of all these long Magnum cases.

If you only net 2700 with rl-26 in a 26in, something is wrong with the barrel. I can easily match that with h4350 even in a 22in. I've been loading for the 6.5 creed for about 10 years with 5 different guns of varying barrel lengths. I know what it's capable of.

Maybe I got a bad batch of R26 then. Any body want it I got about 10 #s of it. I dont get anywhere near 3000 fps from my CM shooting 140 grain Berger's. I dont even know how long I been reloading for it. I think I got it back in 2008 or 2009.

Really highly doubt it would be the powder. It's a possibility I guess. This piece of brass is from my 22in barrel with the 140 eld at 2911. Slight ejector smear and primer is a little flat so i backed off .5.

With RL26 in a 26" barrel, you will get 2900 or better with a 140 before pressure signs unless you have a slow barrel, or really soft brass, or a combo of those two, maybe some other factors as well. I ran the 156 Bergers at 2700-2750 in a 26" creed with rl26 and got lots of loads on the brass. In my 29" barreled .260 ai I am running the 156 at 2940 with rl26, and I am about 1.5 grains below where I saw initial ejector shadows, which was at about 3020.

In a 26" creed, 2750-2800 with a 140 is H4350 velocities. This is very well established. RL26 gains about 100-150 fps over H4350.

My 26" Creed will run at 2,900 ft/sec with a 140 Berger and 27.0 RE26. IT shoots very well there so I never tried a heavier load.
3,000 ft/sec was no problem with a 130TMK and RE15.5.

So what people are saying is the 6.5 CM manufactured by Hornady can push 140 grain bullets as fast as Hornady's new 6.5 PRC which is supposed to be 200-250 FPS than the CM and the 6.5 PRC pushes 140 - 143 grains bullets between 2975 - 3025 FPS. I think Hornady messed up somewhere.
