MT Elk Regulations Should Change!

For those who say we need to put more elk on the mountain, I applaud you. Instead of blaming "out of staters" or "retirees"or any other "boogie man" we should unite and work together to fight the anti-hunters, while creating more habitat and more access to forestry land. If we don't stand up soon and reverse this anti-hunting trend, we are going to wake up one day and find out there is no such thing as hunting. Join the RMEF, make your voice heard at fish and game open discussions and God sakes vote. Even if you feel your vote doesn't matter, trust me it does. I live in the new hippy central. Out west is one of the few free places left in this country.

I have heard several times that when the residents of Montana are asked they chose quantity of tags over quantity of elk and deer. Is this true or B.S.?

I'll put in another vote in favor of joining the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I've been a Life Member for about 25 years, and I really like the way they work to preserve habitat and public access. I don't know how well known they are, but look them up. Good group.
