Best route to avoid Dallas, Tx

Never used that route but I was a truck driver for a good many years and that looked like a good route to take to avoid Dallas. Personally, that is the route I would take even if it did take an hour or two longer, just so I could avoid a lot of traffic jams.

I agree. I am one that thinks I would rather be doing 55 or 60 and drive a longer route than to be stuck in traffic doing 0 mph. Not knowing how long you will be stuck there or how far ahead the traffic problem is puts a lot of added stress on you when driving for 18 or 20 hours, and you are 6 hours from where you plan to spend the night.
We went through Dallas when we took the Okla City route. By passing the Dallas quagmire might make this route a good option. Thanks again !
