He seems to have flown the coop. Never one time responded and hasn't been on the forum since July, 2017. Guessing that he wanted everyone to say the 7/08 was a pathetic caliber?

I think he was looking to be convinced but didn't want to be. He posted the same question on multiple forums, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I think he was looking to be talked out of it.

Fwiw my family has killed a bunch of bulls with the 7mm-08, from 68 yards to 407 yards. Shoot a bull through the lungs with a good bullet and he'll die, sooner than later. It ain't rocket surgery.

7-08 is my favorite ... IMHO - can't find a better round for deer

I use 7mm-08 Nosler Partition 140 in my Elk gun. They don't go very far. Maybe 25 yards. and the recoil is nil.

I have a Forbes 7mm/08 that has killed a few elk. Great to carry and very accurate. One of my favorite calibers for men, women, and kids.
