I just bought two boxes of the same bullet for my 300's. Like others here I use the PT for hunting. Killed my first elk with an 06, using 180 PT's in 66. In my 06's, I have used either IMR4064, 4895 or 3031, depending upon the rifle. H-4831 for the heavier bullets.

I use amaxs on a regular basis for hunting, shoot 140s in 6.5x284, 162s in 7mm rem mag, 208s in 300 wsm, wm, and wby. Very effective, try to avoid bone inside of 200 yards.

Spinnerbait, what twist is your 7mm-08, what's your altitude?

Its 1 in 9 1/4 i believe. my altitude is 500 -600 feet depending on where i shoot

How far do yall seat these off the lands? My 7mag likes them .010 off but I tried that in my 308 and am getting inconsistent groups. One day it will group in the .3's then the next over an inch. Loaded some up last night touching the lands to see if that is more consistent.

I load them all touching, actually about .010" in, except the 300wsm, it still has the factory barrel and seems to shoot them the best at the max oal for my wyatts, 2.992" which jumps them about .057". Spinner you may want to use a 140 berger vld or nosler bt in your 7mm-08 over compressed H4350, you'll get between 2900 and 3000fps and the 162 amax at 2700 will take a long time to catch up.
