What you are searching for good sir is the 6.5×55mm Swedish Mauser. It has the third best ammo availability of the 6.5 cartridges (behind the 6.5 Creedmoor and the 260 Rem). Very similar ballistics to the 6.5-06.

Food for thought, I hunt with the Swift A-Frame in my 308. In my research.. very similar to the Oryx in design. Anywho.. great performance. But.. the Swift May have better selection/availability.

And for the record, my heavy gun (range/varmint) wears an SWFA 3-9 HD. No better scope for the money. It’s glass is comparable to scopes twice it’s price, and it’s mechanical tracking is built like a tank.

1800 fps or 1200 ft/lb... whichever comes first, that's my maximum range for all deer to elk sized game. I know that 1200 ft/lb is way too conservative on whitetails, but I'm usually within 200 yards on them anyway so it doesn't matter.

I clean after every shot for the first 5 shots. Then I shoot a 5 round string, then clean it once more, and then I only clean every 100 rounds from then on out.
