Anyone have experience with N170. I am running out of H1000 and it has a very similar burn rate. Anyone had success with this powder? Temp sensitivity? I am looking to use it in a 300NM running 215-245 grain bullets out of a 18" barrel.

My plan is to run the 18" on a bullpup. With your experience with short barrels do you think the muzzle blast would be to harsh? I have never shot a barrel that short but in normal barrels it never seems bad with hearing protection when your the shooter. If your to the side its a different story.

That is my experience as well. They get extremely easy to seat before they get loose enough to drop one.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but the guys at the high velocities in Nosler brass are seeing pressure signs but they are running just below where they feel heavy bolt lift. You definitely see pressure signs when primer pockets are gone in 2-5 firings.
