84"+ Wy speed goat

Just got back from hunting just outside of Buffalo, WY. Oct 3 weather definitely had them hunkered down.

Buddy & I both managed to take goats in Tuesday with more favorable weather.

Congrats on a stud of a goat!
Thanks, your not joking. And the numbers them self were terrible. Thought the winter kill wasn't supposed to be as bad as down south. Not sure who calculated that.

We saw what I consider plenty of goats (150-200 per day). But this is my first time hunting antelope so I don't have any prior experience to judge by.

Wow that's better then what the other side of Bighorns was, 5 bucks and only about 15 does 3 days. I did talk with and seen pics of a nother guys goat that score 84 6/8" as well. Really cool short and just massive thick and very symmetrical was not seeing a whole lot of deductions on that buck.

Broke in my new 6.5 PRC I built on 3 Oct. This was a DIY hunt on BLM land. Conditions were horrible with all the rain the area received. Lots of area were inaccessible due to the muddy conditions. Shot was 585 yards with a 6.5 PRC shooting hand loaded 143 eldx's @ 3083 fps. DRT results. Buck is short and stocky, 14 1/2 on hook side and 12 5/8 on other side, but has lots of mass 7" bases and 6 7/8" prongs. Taxidermist green scored gross of 84 6/8" but has alot of deductions and may not make 80" after drying. Dont matter I could not be happier with him!

Heck of a goat! Would love to know what all the D measurements are if you get a chance (especially the 3rd measurement)
