Zeiss V4 dislikes

I do not like that the parallax adjustment doesn't have yardage marks. Yes, I know its for a reason. Yes, I verify my marks at the range. But, I like to have a ballpark for quick reference when hunting. I don't always have time to dial the parallax back and forth to find the sweet spot when hunting.

For a long range scope the windage turret was a huge turn off for me. If you hold wind it's not as big of an issue except its a SFP scope and in the heat of the moment it's very likely you'll forget to check the magnification before you shoot.

I think these are the best bang for the buck in their price range. I've had several and they all track and hold zero perfectly. Glass is good too. If I had a complaint it would be the mounting length is a little short if not using a rail.
Overall though, I trust the v4 scopes on my lightweight hunting rifles that will require dialing.

I have the 6x24 and at the demo price I can't see beating it easily, it's been great in low light and tracks great. I've dialed out to 900 and back down to 200 with dead on accuracy. I have the MOA1 reticle though. At times on the range I do wish it had a lockable Windage turret

I decided to use this old thread instead of starting another, for those who have used one of these, what are your thoughts.
I have a 4x16 but I have not used it long enough to be sure that it will track well long term.
Right now, there is a sale for these. A Nightforce or Swarvo is not in my budget.

I've had a 4-16x44 Conquest with the RZ-800 reticle for 15 years. It has seen a lot of use on a 300 WSM and 25-06. It has never lost zero once. It also dials perfectly if, I decide to use the small caped turrets instead of the reticle. It is my favorite hunting scope. I wouldn't worry about long term at all.

I used one for 3-4 years and had zeiss put target turrets on it, original conquest. My dad has used that scope on his go to rifle the last 10 years. Good scope for the money imo. It's still going strong.

I really wish Zeiss could've done a simple throw lever/knob like the small one NF has. Probably my biggest gripe with the scope

All of ours have tracked well thus far. I keep buying them because i haven't seen a scope i can get for $750 that's better then the V4s
