I have a rem 700 short that was used for some kids on my shooting team. The barrel channel was opened up but not done in a professional manner. I can send you some pictures if you PM me a cell number for me to text them to you. It would be very inexpensive but worked great. Has a rattle can paint job that looks pretty good. I helped the kid do it, but he did all tape work and painting.
