You may not be enough but like everyone who can't, they cannot conceive of those who can.
Thanks for that -- no intended insult to them or their memory. History of which I was ignorant. They were big contributors information wise on the forum. They both haven't posted in over a year. I hope they are ok.
Still pondering whether this is a shooting thread or a religious thread. Seein how it's about 50/50, we might need Greg to weigh in with chapter 2…
I'm another one who did not have a problem with the video. I didn't find it depressing or discouraging. He simply stated that, as shooters, we will eventually hit a plateau where the steep learning curve has flattened out. If you haven't experienced this, then maybe you need to shoot some more. The plateau could be in reloading, reading the wind or physical conditioning for a hunt. He never said to quit when that happens. He gave words of encouragement: "There is a way....". Maybe he will supply the answer. Maybe we have to find it ourselves. I found it to be a good video with a great message.
Well said.I can tell you everything mechanically to make the perfect shot in 5 minutes, but it takes a lifetime to perfect.
I've never even heard of him or the show. LoL!! It's the first time I've even seen anything on him in this site. Please don't say anything if it is not positive with limited knowledge. Greg has done more for the enhancement of this sport of shooting than you can possibly imagine. So evidently you don't know anything about Greg or Primal Rights. Try listening to what other's say and maybe you might learn something. If you have something that will enhance what someone else has to offer on this forum please do so. That is what this forum is for-ENHANCING OUR SHOOTING KNOWLEDGE!
Greg - Primal Rights is a LRH SPONSOR. Has the right to promote business and marketing. What would we do if no one marketed their products? Greg promotes his knowledge on this forum way more that any of his products, which helps anyone that listens to it.
Well that was a negative video. Not really the kind of person I want at my campfire. But what is the way?
Here I thought I was all alone!!!Thought provoking, as intended. "If you shoot long enough"...eventually we all get to the point where we can no longer improve, worse than that, if you live long enough you will get to the point where you can no longer get up out of your recliner and shoulder a rifle. That's reality. It is only depressing if you don't trust Jesus for Resurrection--when we will be able to do all as we have never done before!
Until then, I do have some encouragement for those who were downturned by this video.
I used to be the very best in my class. Have a trophy to prove it. But my eyesight has gotten worse and now my heartrate is fast enough that I can no longer shoot between the beats. But even though I know that I have peaked physically, I am still trying to improve as a marksman and a hunter. And the marvelous thing about hunting is this: You don't have to make 25 near perfect shots in a row like you do when you compete in target shooting. But whenever God places the game in front of you--you have a chance to be a hero. Only one shot is all it takes. Even if you are on your last leg, you only have to be brilliant for a second or two and you can accomplish something awesome with one shot.
I don't know you, but your not alone brother. You are a part of one of the biggest families I know. My hunting family. We may never see each other in person but we can always share our stories, adventures, some good, some bad. We may not always see eye to eye, but what family ever does? If we are on this site we either have a passion for hunting or just shooting and we can share our knowledge with our hunting family on here. Here I thought I was all alone!!!
