hello all... Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere but I have to ask in hopes someone can steer me in the right direction.
I have an X-Bolt Stalker with about 35-40 rounds through it and the most consistent thing about it, is it shoots inconsistent. Without fail, a cold bore 1st shot will be 2-3" to the right and as the barrel warms up, shot placement will walk back to zero or to the left. As a result, I set my scope to compensate for this as I hung with the rifle and want the first shot to be dead on.
I didn't perform a "barrel breakin" simply because I wasn't aware of such procedures. But my question is, could there be a possible issue with the barrel itself? Or just keep shooting and see if it will settle in? Or, could I remove the copper and try again to perform a barrel breakin?
Thanks
