WTT looking for powder and bullets FTF in Michigan

Once we do all this trading for components, anybody out there have a spot to shoot 2000 plus yards in Michigan?
I'm getting the itch again !
I would be happy for a 1 mile like jug Challenge also .
I'm sure I should start a new thread but I'm trying to keep it just Michigan area .
Thanks !!

Where would that be ? Being in Midland county, you have access to a 600 yard range at the local Sportsman's club. Not 1000 but decent for a local county range.

Ya it's a great spot to find them. Can't speak for how long the shots are but finding them isn't hard out that way.
You can find them in the 4-5 hundred yard range quite easily. It helps to know a couple of farmers and it's easier in the early to mid spring. They like to live in field hedge rows and its easier to spot them that time of year, before the vegetation grows too big and obscures your view.

Sounds like you have some door knocking to do this spring.

I'm a member at the Sportsman's club but have never qualified to shoot the 600 yard range. Kawkawlin Creek Flooding entrance is by North Midland Family center if memory serves me right. Drawing a blank on the road name. They shoot across the pond.

Are they still only shooting the 600 on Tuesday evenings during warm weather months ? Last time I shot there, it was only Tuesdays and qualified shooters. I have my own 500 yard range so haven't been there in years

I will be looking this up !
Thank you !

I will have to look and see. I thought it was Saturday only. They have the 300 yard tube range almost complete. I don't get out there like I did in my single/childless days.
Link for Kawkawlin Creek Flooding
I'm very close to the Midland county family center on Shearer road. Is it the road just west of the center drive that takes you back to the flooding ? Definitely love to check it out IF shooting 1000 yards is permitted there. I shoot a mile in the UP near my hunting camp but it needs brushing out every spring to maintain that distance.

I'm not to far from this .
Whoop ..Whoop !

It's closed in the spring because of nesting grounds for waterfowl. I'm at the opposite end of Midland county

That's the one. They might shoot farther then that 1k sticks in my head. Paul Rogers king of the 2 mile is his nephew that's how he started shooting out there

Yep. Paul is a member of MCSC also. He never mentioned that location for his ELR shooting. Can't be him tho.

Uncle done it to get ready for a elk hunt. I don't think he still does. I'll probably be drawn and quartered for mentioning it on here.
