I have a 1954 merkel 12 gauge imp/full for sale. This was my grandfathers shotgun and He brought it back over after the second world war. It has been used and shoots very well but is in good condition for it's age. I have gotten it verified as a 1954 merkle though mcbrides and merkle usa. It has been appraised at 3800.00. I am looking for 2500.00 plus shipping obo but will consider partial trades on other over unders or a good semiauto but it has to be a 12 gauge 28" or above. I may be able to be talked into a nice pistol or high powered rife (300 win mag, 300 wsm, 30-378, 300 RUM)

Does it have a selector switch for which barrel shoots first? If so, I assume it is part of the thumb safety.
