I'm going another direction and am selling my custom built 300 win mag. I will break down the cost of everything below.
Rem 700 Action-$325
Brux 1-10 #7 interrupted fluted barrel-$425
Shilen trigger-$80
Muscle brake-$80
Gunsmith work to include lapped lugs, trued action, threaded muzzle, trigger install/adjustment, Duracote-$500
XLR Industries folding stock (not pictured, being shipped from XLR) anodized green-$850
I have $1410 into everything minus the stock. with the stock $2260 with the stock, I will let it go for $1800 minus scope, rings and bases. THe work was done by Roy Bedeaus in Albuquerque, NM. Every gun he's built for me or people I know has been a tack driver.
I worked up a load with 210Bregers and was getting just under "2 groups at 300 yds. Didnt get to tweak it anymore but I'm sure it can do better. I did shoot at a coyote at 1650 yards and hit a foot over his back (rangefinder only went out to 1300yds). I'm not looking for trades at this time.
