Wayne does gr8 stuff and the best stock i have ever used. I have 5 of his stocks, and a 375 cheytac on a montana action, that he built for me with a benchmark barrel. Couldnt be happier!I've got a 300 WSM built by Wayne York on a Montana 99 CRF action feeds like glass!
What ammo/Bullet weight is the most accurate in your Tikka ?I'm new to long-range hunting and have little experience in rifle choices.
but everyone I've spoken with says a made a good choice in Tikka.
I purchased a Tikka T3 lite in 300 WSM
Sub MOA out of the box.
She does have some fire and a bit of a kick.
I've no doubt it will serve me needs well.
I have 2 300 wsm, 1 270 wsm, 3, 7 wsms. All feed well.1 kimber, 4 win mod 70, 1 lawton. I dont really like belted cases. Tgey serve me well. My first 300 has been to africa 21 times and never fails me. Better than win mag? For me yes, but to each their own.Hello all Ivhave been reading about couple different wsm calibers and rifles and have seen alot of people say they have feeding problems I am wondering what brand and model rifles in wsm are good rifles that do not have feeding problems.
Thanks
My Remington 700 in 300 WSM has never had a feeding problem.Awesome I've looked at couple wsm s but haven't pulled trigger on any of them yet I've been keeping a eye out on who all around me keeps factory ammo for them due to not having my reloading stuff yet.
Which ammo is the most accurate in your Sako?I have 300 wsm in Sako A7. Love it with no issues. Lots of friends buying wsm still.
One could say the same for many calibers. For your info mr nosler's favorite rd is 300 wsm. Ballistically superior, probably not but not inferior either. For me, no belt is a plus. Having said that, i have 3, 300 win mags and ivlove them. Just dont love reloading them. I get 3260 with 168 barnes ttsx in my fave 300 wsm. Everything that get in front of it dies a quick, humane death. The 7 wsm is qickley growing on me as well with 168 berger to about 1400 yds in a combo target/hunting rifle. A fantastic family of rounds, but there are many fantastic rds. To each their own.Aside from the 300 WSM, they are about dead. Aside from the short action myth. no advantage over the 300 Win Mag,
That is because of the rifle, not the rd. The wsms, esp 7mm make gr8 longrange rifle, but perhaps not in the kimber montana, a gr8 hunting rifle. I have a 270 wsm kimber. Love it.The rebated rim of the WSM cases feed really good from Center feed DBMs. So any rifles using that style mag should be good. I had a Kimber Montana in 270 WSM and 300 WSM and they fed great, just not a long range rifle.
Last i checked midway had 7 wsm brass, i bought 100 rds, shouldnt have to ever worry again. Good luck. Reloading is definitely the way ti go for wsms.Model 70? I ve been looking at getting a 270 or 7mm wsm but factory ammo is hard to find around here
