Windy pants, where in the heck are you? We have been waiting for a long range coyote story. What the heck have you been doing up there? Let's commence to get shootin'.

Speaking of that. When I got to camp the other day I put on a crock pot of "mexican whistle berries", aka pinto beans, with sausage, bacon, cilantro and lime rotel, etc. Man, they were good, but been paying the price.
What we used to call "whistle britches".

I thought maybe you're getting sick of me. Been busy guiding elk hunts, and waiting for hunting season to end so I can get serious about coyotes. I did get three in a row that averaged 860 yards, then my rifle started shooting high and erratic, so now I have to screw a new barrel on and get load work up done. And my longest poke yet before it died. 1480 yards through the lungs. That 30-28 is a barrel burner, but man is it fun!

Any idea how many shots that barrel had down the tube?
How many grains of powder do you use?
