Winchester model 12

The 16ga is super-light and fast love my loads of 1oz loads using nickel plated 5's or 5 1/2 shot on pheasants with longshot powder moving along at 1500 plus and Z16 wads, makes for a great pheasant gun the model 12's. Still looking for one in 28Ga for grouse. AT the right price !!!!

making another bird trip before deer season rifle opens up. Taking my 28 ga on this grouse trip. Good luck on the season this year to you all.
I will tell a sad mod 12 -20 ga story . My dad bought my mother a mod 20 ga they where big quail and dove hunters . My dad passed away at a young age of 39 and a few years after my mother remarried . My new step dad also had a mod 12 -20 ga he had bought in a different town and different time a real coincidence . One day they where comparing the 2 mod 12 s and low and behold they were consecutively serial numbered , now you can call that fate . The only guns from my mother and step dad that I would cherish for my life and future generations after me would have been those 2 mod12s 20 gages consecutive serial numbers . The sad part is a thief broke in our house and stole our entire gun collection, end of story. ( those old mod 12s are work of art ) .

I seen one in 28 gauge at a gun show maybe five or six years ago picked it up and looked at it. Guy wanted 5,000, I put it back down was out of the price range I could go on it but was the only one I ever actually held in 28.
I would pay that price for the right one !
