Win 52-B 22LR

The 52 Win. was the king of 22 RF rifles for many years.
They I believe were 3 different barrel weight. A standard, Target barrel and Bull barrel model.
Dad and I owned 2 or 3 back in the 1950s-60-61. won a lot of turkeys and ham with 52 Win. Had Lyman peep rear and Lyman Globe front sights.
I went to U.S. Army in 1962. In winter of1964-65 I was captain of 584 LE Co. rifle team. We won Ft. Dix competition with Win. 52 Bull Barrel rifles with Redfield peep rear and front global sights.
When we got through the First Army competition I had a callus around my left upper arm from all the hours being wrapped in a sling.
I was in a gun shop the other day and they had a model 52 with a Urnertal target scope. Was not for sale. But brought back many memories.

I used to teach Jr. Rifle at my home range. We had Winchester 52's,Rem 40-XR's and Anshutz that were if I remember correctly 54's . All had Redfield aperture and front globe sights. I would come early and stay late to shoot them.
