Well, I guess half a breast is better than no breast at all. I am still not sure that that blown-up grouse was "overkill." It was a waste of good meat, how is it overkill. I know, we are splitting feathers here, but dead is dead. I am still wondering about the true meaning of killing something too dead? Or is that not a valid question?I remember walking out of the timber once when a young lad with my mom after deer hunting and a grouse flew up and landed in a tree. Mom shot it with a 30-06 or 308 win, can't remember for sure, we found half the breast I think. She was aiming for the head at 10-15yds. Oops.
