This whole mess should remind us just how incredible the 1776 moment is in the course of human history. The default setting of governance is abject contempt for it's subjects.... sound familiar these days.
Hawaii, east Palestine, wars for reasons we don't know but really do, research, deficit spending that enriches some but terrorizes others.... this is the default state of man. We just lived in a brief period in time where it wasn't so.
I remember hearing the proverb about a dog returning to its vomit as a kid. Never understood it until getting old enough to watch politics. The welfare/false security party is powerful. When the .gov finally admits the 1000 missing are not missing but dead in lahina, media won't even mention it. Not only that the people who failed won't have a single consequence, and next election they will vote 70% for the ideals and party that killed so many. No tar and feather no lasting anger, just obedience to the fools that cause harm.
