Who does Precision cut foam for pelican case?

I used the havalon knife, it uses surgical blades, they are about 2" long so all you have to do is just pull throug the foam, I did my 2 cases, came out really good, if I knew how I would post a pic, got the havalon knife at sportsmanship warehouse, other places should carry them also.

You can almost buy a Pelican new for 140 bucks.........:)

I lean toward the electric carving knife but I imagine a Havalon would do it just as well, without sawing.

Just be careful not to sever a finger, Havalon's are stupid sharp.....:D

I have one Pelican with th pick-n-pluck foam insert. Worls well for square cornered stuff like ammo or mags but not so well for curved items.........

Cabelas had Havalon's on sale the other day when I stopped by....btw

also had few engraved logo for me..
as much as i have in my toys i like to have them protected
$140 is cheap as to the online guys want over $300 to do this,
laser cuttting foam isnt for everyone.

No, it's not. Mainly due to the fact that a bed laser (like a Trumpf) costs upwards of 3/4 million bucks.

Love to have one, can't afford one. I have to settle for 3 axis CNC High Definition Plasma.

I could probably adapt the head to cut foam with the proper cutter attachment, anything is possible.

Just not any need to spend the money to adapt.

Check out You Tube. I watched a video on there that showed how to do it with a electric carving knife. Havent tried it myself yet.
