With Whidden no longer making custom dies, who would you send your chamber reamer spec's/Brass to have make custom dies?

I don't have a die sizing reamer. I would only be able to provide the chamber specs in three times fired Brass.

On my last build, since I have the sizing and chamber reamer, I had my GS made my hydraulic forming and reloading dies using blank dies.

Some of the die makers used to custom dies, You might want to give them a call.

ADDED:

I just checked, Hornady still does..Also, Warren Tool Company.

Erik Cortina makes custom bushing dies from your reamer print.
Thank you I will look into it, but I can only imagine when he would charge when I look at the price of his Sherman seven max die. I was hoping to get a resizing die and a seater die for around 400 bucks.

I had Redding make me a 243AI die a couple of years ago. The one I found off the shelf, the shoulder/body junction diameter was different. It took almost a year to get but was also during covid shutdowns.

Yep! I was trying to double-check for the OP yesterday on their website, but I got this ...

Lee will also do them. As I noted in #2, call them and verify their current services.

Well you are going to be over that price mark. I ordered a custom bushing sizer from the prints for a wildcat I'm having made up. The bushing sizer alone that was over your desired price point. However, it saved having the sizing reamer made (between 200-250), so there is a savings there. Then I'll have a Wilson arbor die made for seating when the barrel is chambered. That will be the die blank (90) plus another chambering fee.

I've gotten Whidden custom dies from prints in the past and that was an outstanding service. Those are probably the best dies I have. It was much easier than this round has been.

Justice1327,

I recently heard on the Shoot 2 Hunt podcast the CEO of ADG state the company will soon be making custom dies, and reamers to match their brass. If I recall correctly, the first batch of these products will be for the PRC based cartridges. The new dies will be 1 ¼" in diameter, not the standard ⅞". Their reason for this is to eliminate deflection or movement in the thinner-walled dies when resizing larger cases...and to eliminate clickers. These products will be released at the 2025 SHOT Show.

Just something to noodle over.

Best of luck!

John made my custom reloading and hydraulic forming dies in 2016. Like you, I am happy with them.

Yes, there is always that added cost associated with building a wildcat or custom rifle. Below is the breakdown of some of the expenses for my 338 Thor.

Manson removable pilot chamber reamer/GNG gauges = $355
PT&G sizing reamer = $210

My GS built me custom-made hydraulic forming and reloading dies and a COAL gauge—parts and labor = $397.

Thank you I never heard of that podcast either. But I don't want to change my die size.
