Which turkey gun?

For a dedicated turkey rig it is hard to beat a mossberg honestly. I just finished building a dedicated 870 into a turkey gun with an eotech on top. Looking forward to not having to move red dots around in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised if more turkeys have been harvested with a combo of Mossberg 835 Ultimags and Remington 870 variants than everything else combined.

An 870 3 inch with a turkey or waterfowl choke is bad medicine for any turkey foolish enough to walk within range. I used to use such an 870 many years ago, then upgraded to an 11-87 3 inch with a Carlson waterfowl choke. Either/or are capable of taking a turkey out to a conservative 50 yards. I have been using Federal Black Cloud #4 steel shot for many years now and it has always been one shot, one turkey.
