I'm getting a Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44 FFP to put on a long range hunting rifle in 28 Nosler. I'm hoping to hear from some people that have used one to hunt with. What reticle for hunting? I'm leaning towards the TMR but wonder if the .5 mil hash marks are too course and whether you can see the reticle on 3 power good enough to shoot something if you jump it close. I will likely hold for shots out to 500 yards and dial for anything farther. I'm planning to always hold for wind which is why I want FFP.

If I had my druther, I'd opt for an MOAR. But I don't believe you can get that scope with the MOAR reticle.

I"d stick with the TMR. The less crap you have in the sight picture the easier it is to do the job successfully.
