I have a 1:8 twist 22-250 and wanted to try some 88gr eld-x bullets with rl26 powder. The issue I'm having is all loads have ejector swipes, so I'm wondering if this is a valid way to tell over pressure? I'm not knocking out primers or having hard bolt lift.
Attached is the target i shot, and a picture of all the brass. The brass is left to right lowest to highest which is black at 39gr. (37.2, 37.6, 38, 38.4, 38.8, 39) I colored it black to see if ejector swipes would show up more.
What are your opinions, should i stick with 37.2 and call it a day? That would probably be the smart choice, but boy 39g was fast and accurate!
