Finished a 30 Nosler build. 26" Proof barrel with 1-9.4" twist rate. This rifle will be used for primarily for elk. Which bullet is better? The 215 Hybrid of 230 OTM?
Thanks. Impressive shootingHere's my APR Defiance with a muller barrel and AG stock. Running ADG brass, redding dies, and H1k pushing a 230 berger at 2950 from a 26 inch barrel.
A pic of a loaded 215 berger and groups of the 230 berger at 100, 300 and 600. These were shot on 3 different trips over a 2 week period COLD bore dial and shoot.
I also shot a 3 inch group at 300 with 1 round of each; 200 nos accubond, 200 federal trl, 215 and 230 berger.

Gonna depend on freebore also.Finished a 30 Nosler build. 26" Proof barrel with 1-9.4" twist rate. This rifle will be used for primarily for elk. Which bullet is better? The 215 Hybrid of 230 OTM?
With that case, I would run the 245. I run them right at 3000' out of my 28" 30 SM and they are impressive!!@L.Sherm not trying to derail the thread but what about a 300 Norma IMP with a 1in9 26in barrel and a decent amount of freebore using N570, lapua brass, etc? I bought 215's for a little more speed and less recoil but should I go the 230 route?
I'd try them both, surely you have a break on it?@L.Sherm not trying to derail the thread but what about a 300 Norma IMP with a 1in9 26in barrel and a decent amount of freebore using N570, lapua brass, etc? I bought 215's for a little more speed and less recoil but should I go the 230 route?
