You guys can laugh about the 30-505, but I do have a drawing for a 30-cal on the 408 Chey-Tac case, which is essentially the same thing, but I cut the case down to 1.85" case body about 1 1/3", 2.8" COL.
Think 6 BR after being belted by Gamma rays.
Capacity and velocities would be right around or above 300 Weatherby, using 190-220g bullets.
Very likely 3k with 220 out of 30".
I also have a 3.1" and 3.34" version. After that, I don't believe you can gain anything but pain.
Still not sure what action would be best for this .64" casehead. Maybe I can find a smith to modify a Yugo 48 for it, single-shot.
