What's in your user name?

Tensilon is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor which when given IV will increase the concentration of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. It is used for the reversal of non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agents after a surgical procedure. It is one of several drugs used to reverse muscle relaxants (paralyzing agents) and get someone breathing and allow their muscles to function at the end of a case. In the 90's I used this quite a bit. I have used this screen name since then. I retired just over one month ago and I am d*** near bored to death. Tons of snow up here this winter and the wife does not wish to go anywhere. I have plenty of rifles to keep me busy at the bench but my main hobby this past month appears to be blowing snow. Have to fire up the Arctic Cat 900 ZR one of these days and/or just get up to Lake of the Woods for some walleye fishing.

I fully understand what you are saying Tensilon.
I retired after 35 years military this last March. During last summer scouting, hiking, camping, and fly fishing filled my schedule. During the fall, hunting filled my schedule.
I knew Jan-Apr would be a challenge, but I am losing my freaking mind! My wife, much like yours, is not much for getting out in the winter. I hate the television!!! 🥴
Best wishes for you brother!

Yes, I am hoping the next year will be filled up with such pleasures as you had this past year. My health is very good and I am still structurally sound. I have been blessed in that regard, or lucky, one of the two. I can't wait to get out west next fall. Nothing like a beautiful sunrise while sitting on the top of a mountain. I find it more spiritual than sitting in church. Blows me away..... the best to you also Manitou....spring will be here in no time.

I have been a hand made pretzel baker since 1983.
Dad and I started in 1983 as partners and bought his share in 1990 and been own my own since.
My hat is off to anyone who starts there own business, dad wanted something different for me as he punched the time clock all his life.
Jobs were none existent when I was 16. I did find a job as dairy hand while his son went to collage. I left there when we started the pretzels.

I love Uncle Henry pretzels.

It's been over thirty years since the movie Quigley Down Under hit the theaters, and nearly that long since I made my first 1000+ yard kill on a Prairie Dog on the Rosebud Reservation using my favorite caliber at the time, a 25-06 Remington.
One of the very best shooting rifles I ever owned was a Ruger #1 25-06. No thousand yard kills with it but truckloads of PD's out to 600 or so and piles of PH antelope and Deer.

Got my nickname on the 1st day of 1st grade. Teacher was taking attendance and found she was missing a Joni. She then realized that she had not called my name and asked for my name. I told her it sure as h___ ain't Joni. Coincidentally, that was also day I made my 1st visit to the principle's office where I received 3 swats from a mini canoe paddle. Thinking it couldn't get much worse, I was greeted to calls of "Joni" at recess. I took the biggest loud mouth to the ground, pinning him and shoving grass in his mouth while telling him my name was Jon, just Jon. Two others met the same fate at lunch.
LOL. Teacher called me Eddie and I said my name is Ed. Well Eddie stuck with me throughout middle school by every student in the class.
