What would you like to see in a Rimfire scope

My current set up on my Savage BVSS 22LR is Leupold VX3, 6x20 EFR, w/target turrets. While not the perfect scope for this work, it's proven to be effective for dialing to hit sub 1 MOA targets/game from 10 yards to 200+ yards. Being a target scope, the objective mounted parallax/focus on this scope is cumbersome.

For my needs, the perfect scope for 22 LR shooting/hunting at longer ranges would have:
-4.5-14x magnification that holds its zero across the magnification range
-side EFR parallax/focus from 10 yards
-MOA reticle, weighted med/fine/, i.e.Varmint style
-target turret for elevation capable of achieving a minimum of 20MOA of elevation:windage-capped

I have used a number of Nikon optics and loved them all for
their applications, in fact the 2X pistol scope is the best 2X available these
days IMO, for it's features...and the 2.5-8 handgun is very good also.

Admittedly I'm not terribly fond of the BDC reticle design
although it works well enough that I don't dislike it. Ian McMurchy who was
highly respected here on this forum designed it. One of the things that's not
often brought up that I appreciate in a reticle design is a plex subtension
that's wide enough and easily interpolated for long-range when applying windage
calcs. Nikon has done a pretty good job of this whether it's by design or not. I
have used this in comps and it has served me well over the years running turrets
for elevation and reticle for windage. Might be nice to have a windage system on
the plex portion of the reticle that's 20 MOA post to post and divided evenly
with a short line stadia at the 5 MOA mark both sides of reticle axis. Might
even eliminate the windage target-style turret to save money if desired. Be sure
and maintain the excellent Tech Specs pgs. of the catalog. They serve the
technical shooter well, especially the subtension pgs. Love your optics designs
really. Tell Nikon, "well done".
