Them dang jackelopes. I thought I would shoot one with bb gun when I was a young kid. I would look for horns everytime I saw a cottontail. First time I saw one was at LGS. Dang old timers had me for a few years. Lol
The thing about jackanapes is that they don't shed their antlers like whitetails. They shed after one year, but don't grow a new set until they're recovered from all the mating they did during that year. Sometimes that takes 4-5 years.
