Already have jb bore paste. That stuff us amazing on what it can take out

It appears to be a carbon ring. There is some fire cracking but it I dont think it looks that bad. Thoughts?

Some of that gunk in the freebore area is more than just firecracking. Best way to know if it's casing the bullet scratching, is to cleaning it out. IMO it is the culprit.

A lot of folks are having good luck removing carbon rings with CLR. I picked up a bottle but haven't tried it yet.

I have taken a short piece of a cheap cleaning rod and used it and a cordless drill to slowly spin the brush/patch/JB combo in the neck and throat area. Seems to work pretty good.

I did this too, with a brush wrapped in a soaked patch in boretech c4 carbon remover
