What scope for lightweight 300 NM

Here's how she mounts up, not terrible but I'm pretty sure it was about an 1" further back on my last rifle.
Really I need the stock to drop it into, it'll be 4 months waiting for my McMillan game warden 2.0

that's not to bad ..

I like to actually pack my rifle in my hands most of the time so when you get a 3 pound optic on top of your rifle it tends to be a little awkward.
and my ZCO 4-20, rings and level (2 pounds 13 oz) on my 338 edge moved from recoil in ZCO "apa" rings ..

I have been pulling my limited amount of hair out with a similar situation. LA Anti X just doesn't do well with compact (short tubes) scopes. I run a 13.5" LOP and getting good eye relief is extremely important to me. I've heard the March F 3-24X52 has a longer tube than the FX, but it's still going to be limited in mounting options. I'm limiting my weight to 28 ounces and $3k at the top of my budget. Raising the scope with high rings is not really a good option for me. Keep us posted on what works out for you. I almost ordered a Zeiss V6 3-18X50 this morning just to stop my hair pulling. The March F is still calling my name.

I haven't had good luck with Zeiss, I sold my V6 years ago the tunneling drove me nuts.
I really want to make my fx work, the huge fov makes it easy to spot shots on a light magnum 30 cal.
