Blems or seconds are bullets that have a visual blemish, or at least that's what I have found in the past. I've used them for target shooting to hunting. But if you're concerned you could use the blemish for target/ varmint work and firsts or over runs for big game hunting. "Over runs" are bullets that are extras for a production run. Usually if a machine is running very well they may make extra just in case they get additional orders. What are "blems" on shooters pro shop? The blems I have purchased have been purely cosmetic. Slight discoloration in the jackets, maybe some very slight imperfections in the jackets but they shoot as well as new in my experience. What are "blems" on shooters pro shop? Here's a screen shot of my recent emails from them.I get a daily generic email from them but never in stock notifications.

You may need to check your spam files.I've signed up for multiple alerts on there and have never received an in stock notification from them.
correct or perhaps they failed the weight test. What are "blems" on shooters pro shop? Is it discoloration, scratches, bumps and bruises on bullets and brass or what? I'm a little concerned about ordering from them
There is no weight defect. Visual Blems and the tips miss the laser QC standard.correct or perhaps they failed the weight test.
You'll want to inspect and weigh them to be sure you're not getting bullets that are out of spec enough to affect their shootability.
If it's a possible safety defect they won't be sold at all and will instead be destroyed.
I've bought them in the past, some were 2nds because they don't meet the weight standards. There is no weight defect. Visual Blems and the tips miss the laser QC standard.
Good info if that was your experience. They advertise color and tips unless C grade and the tips can be really messed up. I weighed them when I first started using them gosh at least 15 years ago. Not any difference from 1st for me. I readily admit I limit the detailed measuring and checking bullets. I went BS crazy on pellets for a PCP. Complete and utter waste of time and energy I found out.I've bought them in the past, some were 2nds because they don't meet the weight standards.
I bought them for shooting mass numbers of hogs and sub 300yds ranges. They were fine for that but I would never buy them to shoot at game.Good info if that was your experience. I quit using nosler 2nd because the suck really bad for on game performance. I tried the midway seconds and they looked like Nosler C grade. Never again with midway or Nosler.
