I use a harbor freight rotary tool (9.99) and a small bronze brushTitle says it all. Do it by hand? Use electrons?
I started reloading by cleaning primer pockets for Dad about 1965. He used a small Grace hollow ground screwdriver. The handle is placed in the palm of the hand. Index finger on the stem. A quick turn of the wrist and carbon comes right out. It may not look pretty but it does short work of the chore.
This is really a good tool. If you have to run it by hand, this works as well as anything else, fast.
+1. I mount my in a hand held drill and can doo 100's of cases in minutesI use my Sinclair carbide pocket uniforming tool.
I do mine by hand. None of the cleaners worked for me so I made my own. I took an old screwdriver and ground the sides to fit the pocket then ground down the face so it would fit the flash hole to remove tumbler media. It sort of resembles a tiny wood paddle bit.
