What caliber you guys using for sheep?

Well, it's been 25 years but I used a 30/06 Mauser shooting Sierra 165 gr hpbt game king to kill a rocky mountain bighorn here in Oregon. That old sporter 98 Mauser has killed mule deer in Oregon and Idaho as well as caribou in Alaska. Still have that rifle, it's one of my favorites.

I've taken 5 NA sheep. All taken with same rifle, 7mm Rem Mag w/160 Partitions

Thompson center muzzle loader for my Rocky and a 7mm for my Desert.
We used a 28 Nosler, on a Rocky this year and it was pretty sweet.

I used a 6.5-284 for my desert and a 257 weatherby for the Dall—if I can ever draw my rocky it will be with. 7 SAUM—and probably so would my Stone

if either I or the misses ever draw a Mt Bighorn tag (have 40 years in applying) we'll use our main hunt rifle which is a 22/250. That is if we ever....draw

6.5-06 on my Bighorn. Now I'd likely use my 7 SAUM.
