What is the smallest caliber that is legal for Mule deer and Antelope in Wyoming? The reason I ask is I am planning on using my 6mm Norma BR. for goats, but what if I happen to come apon a Mule deer buck? I am bringing along my 30-06 but won't be carrying them both at the same time.

Law books says:

"Wyoming statutes authorize the use of a firearm which has a barrel bore diameter of at least twenty-three-hundredths (23/100) of an inch and is chambered to fire a center-fire cartridge not less than two (2) inches in overall length, including a soft or expanding point bullet seated to a normal depth......"

Well if this is true I am home free because my 6mm Norma BR. loaded with Berger 105 gr. VLDs seated all the way to the bottom of the neck measure 2+3/8" and the velocity is about 3,000 fps.

"Aim small miss small", :D
