I've been shooting at long range now for about a year with my 110fp heavy barreled 30-06. I've been using 168gr match-king bullets and have gotten great results doing so, but I'd like to start using a bullet that is heavier and is also made to take game.
I will be using the rifle 99% of the time at the range out to 1000 yards, but this gun also goes bear hunting. I am leaning towards the Sierra 200gr gameking and the 208gr Hornady A-max. I have a box of each and I'll be doing load development on both to see what shoots the best.
I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask everyone here if you all have any recommendations before I get too carried away. I just thought that since it's a 30-06 and not a 308 that I should at least try a heavier bullet to the most advantages out of the 30-06 as I can.
I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks ahead of time!
