The problem is that the RUM is a Remington XHR with the itty bitty triangular barrel that scolds your skin if you touch it after 2 shots, so there arent very many options for muzzle brakes.
JE, I was using the 120 sierra pro hunter. It is rated to about 3K for deer so it should have worked, but two in a row broke up on the shoulder on a white-tail at 200 yards or less. I had been working with the 140 pro hunter, but I went with the 120 as it was faster. I've killed a lot of deer with sierra bullets, and they are usually superb, but not here.Sorry you had such bad luck with the 708 and 120 grain bullets .
What 120 bullet did you try?
