what attributes to a rifle preferring a large bullet jump?

Just curious, out of all of my rifles, my 760 remington's in 280 and 30-06 will shoot factory hornady 139 and 180 sst's in a 1/2 "at 100yRds. Handloads with any encroachment on the lands causes groups to open up. All of my bolt guns like between 10 an 20 thiusandths off the lands. Why do you think this is?
 
I don't believe there is a credible explanation for it(yet), as every notion I've heard/read fails tests.

Same rifle different bullet different seating depth.

I suspect it is all barrel harmonics
