Just went to load some 30 nosler and noticed this with my Redding 30 nosler FL sizing die.
I’m not even sure how that’s possible ?

I had the same looking crack in my Forster sizing die in 28Nosler. I think it broke in my first reloading session. I didn’t see it till I had trouble closing the bolt on my reloads. They sent me a new one quickly and I had no more trouble with the replacement.

..in 60 + years of reloading, using every manufacturers dies in a ton of cartridges, I've never seen a die break like that..amazing.
Done various damages to them over the years, but haven't done that....yet

All I can say is WOW 
I'm with Frank , been loading a long time, never seen a die body crack. Most everything else, but never that.

Who would ever believe that the die would be softer than the brass ? Maybe there's a lot more to this story...surely very very rare in my opinion..
That die is getting thin with that big of a diameter cartridge. Im kinda suprised that doesnt happen more than what it does. If you think about it that die only has around 1/8 in wall thickness at the root of the thread. Guess thats why they make 1 1/4 presses and dies.
