A little prescribed burn action on the farm to eliminate competition for the Longleaf Pines...deer love it too. When the burn is over the deer trails really stand out.
These things pretty much fly themselves. The old RC planes and helicopters took guys a lot of time to master. These will hover for the whole time, you could even lay the control down on the ground and walk away. Still gonna be hovering in same spot when you get back. That definitely doesn't mean what it used too. If a ten year old can do it I'm not sure I can maybe more like 5yr old
Now thats a great idea….I use mine for occasional video work but this gives it a duel purpose while its packed away in its case, and I'm wasting gas and time driving to the target on the side by side
Sorry, missed that. Saw your impressive picture and reacted.Read post #43, I dunno what she paid it was a gift. Look at Best Buy...
This is where I really like the shot marker. Never need to go paint gongs. Look at your phone or tablet and shoot. I get spoiled shooting with my friend. When's he's not around I'm back to painting gongs!Drone thing is an awesome idea, but my range sessions can be hours. I have an airstrip range to shoot on where the owner is OCD about tire impressions of laid over grass of even 4 wheelers. I have specific instructions on what directions I can ride the 4 wheeler and I try to stay off the grass as much as possible. Other than repainting the plates, this will save me a lot of back & forth.
now you're talking! all the more fun!

Protect the camera down range with an AR500 plate diverting rounds downward into a catch pit. You WILL hit the camera otherwise. That's why manufacturer sells insurance. It's gonna happen.Surprisingly Midway USA had the best price for $800 shipped. I was about to drop some serious coin on a spotting scope, but for my uses this should reign supreme.
Don't forget to do a ballistics calculation to plot the bullet's arcing drop to the target because placing your drone in front of your target may turn it into a clay pigeon.Great idea, I have a drone and was thinking of doing the same thing, how's it working for you, the drone I have has a auto return, and very good cam on it, I could get right in front of the target and see every hole. Soon as the snow melts I going out and try, the drone I have is a Chroma and wasn't as much as the one from Midway, but you can by a camera drone that would work great for around $200/ $300 dollars now. Keep you posted how mine works out
This is wrecking my idea of placing it on a tripod...LOLProtect the camera down range with an AR500 plate diverting rounds downward into a catch pit. You WILL hit the camera otherwise. That's why manufacturer sells insurance. It's gonna happen.
