You don't need a brake on a 340. Recoil, is not bad at all.

If you you need a brake on a gun then you need to go to a smaller caliber that you can handle the recoil....

My research shows that this an Mark V Ultramark. Built in Japan by Howa between 1989 & 1991.

I got one when in my 20's.Taken tons of game with probably 20 + elk.I braked it after 10 years and had a custom Lonewolf stock, pillar and bedded to it.No its on second life with my son.Bump for one of my favorite
